Dave Miller of Lewes celebrated Labor Day by running the virtual Boston Marathon. Miller has run 56 marathons and 17 Boston Marathons, including the 2013 race, finishing 15 minutes before the bombing.

Several of Miller’s neighbors came out to support Dave as he crossed a finish line his daughter made out in the street with blue painter’s tape. He was also supported by his loving wife, Pam, and their family.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person 2020 Boston Marathon was canceled. Those who qualified were encouraged to complete the race on their own where they live.

The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.
